sincere

For the past few days I have been thinking about one of the professors I know here at Wheaton College in Illinois (believe me, the state matters!).  I had a class with him and I got an amazing opportunity to go on a trip with him and some other students last Spring semester.

The one thing that I always say about him when talking to other students is that HE IS SINCERE – it may be impossible for him to say the name Jesus without being sincere.

In fact, it may be impossible for him to say JESUS LOVES YOU without it coming from the core of his being.

I aspire to be like that.  To talk about Jesus knowing how great he is and how much he loves people.

Have a great day!  I might see you before Sunday!

grace and peace

you are sufficient!

Well, this is my fiftieth post on jesusthirst.com.  And I am happy yet worn down.

With approaching deadlines for papers, readings, tests and all the stuff that is required to accomplish them… I feel buried beneath this great weight.  And there seems no possible way for me to survive the next couple weeks without hurting a bit.

But all that comes to mind is the grace and sufficiency of God.  That he will sustain me in these times and bestow on me the grace necessary to complete my tasks.

Though I am fearful, with God’s grace I can overcome.

Though I am tired, God’s grace will  strengthen me.

And though I feel lost beneath work, God knows exactly where I am.

The Lord is sufficient!

GRACE and PEACE.
