As I enter into 2009(wow!) I am ever reminded that when we step onto life’s grand stage, through all the twists and turns of the plot, through all the pressures forcing every character to develop, through all the scene changes, and through the passing of old and favored personalities and the emergence of new personalities which so quickly gain our affection – we are always always headed towards our FINAL BOW.

I think about Moses who prayed in Psalm 90:12, “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”  He’s saying that our days are limited and we desperately need to learn how to live out these limited days.

So my prayer and resolution for the following year is to LIVE.  Not like every year, but to purposefully learn to live a life wholly centered around Christ!  What could be a better goal or aspiration?  Instead of trying to fit Jesus in to every other part of my life, what if I tried to fit every other part of my life in to Jesus?  I’m fired up! 

To practically carry out this commitment I am going to write everyday what’s fresh on my heart about Christ!  I will do this on this blog.  I hope you will join me as I thirst for Jesus and attempt to become more like him.

I’m going to start by looking at some Scripture that I just can’t get out of my head:  Colossians 1:15-23!
